Odds and Ends 11

Lifehacker - "When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you, but because, in that brief moment when the coin is in the air, you suddenly know what you are hoping for."

ENGADGET.COM -- Great editor advocating that American cell companies give away cell phones like they do in other parts of the world

LIFEHACKER.COM -- Fonolo now has an iPhone app

UNCLUTTERER.COM -- More mindful, less clutter

MASHABLE.COM -- Twitter Helps Find Missing Family Member After Chile Earthquake - in under two hours.

SEATTLETRANSITBLOG.COM -- Pierce Transit Also Facing Cuts - wow... "cuts" is being nice. Yikes.

CROSSCUT.COM -- Struggling to Keep The Stage Lights On - Seattle is the only city in Washington not allowed to levy a arts & culture tax. And Washington state places dead last for per-capita public arts projects. (Interestingly enough, I keep hearing theater mentioned as "Broadway-Chicago-Seattle."

THESTRANGER.COM -- Hello, There Are Rules - Guerrila art on Metro busses. Sadly, removed too quickly. (Apparently stabbing and urinating are ok.)

The Count Censored. Nothing and everything is wrong with this video. You can work wonders with a simple sound effect. (This is probably not appropriate for those in my church crowd without a sense of humor.)

Tough guys sing Savage Garden. At least they have cool accents. D'oh. It's an ad for shoes. Pffft.

-10- VIDEO

Hopefully not a repeat... some more great acapella
