Apparently the city of Santa Barbara is thinking about building affordable housing -- so that those who make an average of $160k a year can afford to buy a home in the city.
A report in the newspaper this morning stated the average income has gone up in the OC yet again. I am still in the bottom 10%, even with the new job. They expect that by this time next year, I won't be able to afford to rent a doghouse in this county for less than $2000 a month.
